DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Tana

Arriving at Ivato international airport, clear customs and meet Ortour representative for transfer to Anjary Hotel (midrange) or at Colbert (top) for overnight

Day 2: Tana - Andasibe

Morning drive to go to Andasibe where tourists are expected to see and meet the biggest quasi-untailed lemur known as the Indri (indri indri). Andasibe is a rainforest area covered of 810 hectare; the national park of Analamazaotra often referred to Périnet, the Indri’s home. Mantadia and the Special Reserve of Indri of Analamazaotra form the complex Andasibe Mantadia. These two protected areas are identical but unfortunately the human pressures separated them. Mantadia spreads over 15 480 ha.

Day 3: Andasibe - Toamasina

Morning walk at the reserve to see the biggest lemur (Indri). The park of Andasibe accommodates a lot of animals which assure their perpetuity at the same time. 108 species of birds are known in the park, some of which play a role in the survival of plants like Terpsiphone mutata. We can also find 14 species of lemurs in there, 51 species of reptiles, the famous Boa manditra and 84 species of amphibian. Lunch at the hotel before driving to Toamasina
It is the country’s largest harbour, a pleasant place with long wide Avenue lined with flamboyants and palm trees.

Day 4: Toamasina - Mahambo

In the morning, drive from Toamasina to go to Mahambo. Spend one hour visit at Ivoloina Botanical Garden, conservation centre and Zoo.  It is a wonderful place; there are a few species of lemurs and turtles.  When arriving in Mahambo, relax at the beach –white sand, plenty of vegetation, nice for snorkelling and rich of seafood.

Day 5-6-7: Mahambo - Soanieranivongo - Sainte Marie

Morning boat riding from Soanierana Ivongo to go to the  Island of Sainte Marie at 9:00 am to Sainte Marie which is a small paradise of beach and a good place to see the hump-backed whales.
Stay at North la crique and the South Iles aux Nattes.

Day 8:  Sainte Marie - Tana

Fly back to Antananarivo and take the flight home.
