Detailed Itinerary 

 

DAY 1: TANA
Airport welcome and transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city.Hotel Anjary (midrange), or the Hotel Louvre (top). 

DAY 2.3: TANA - ANKARAFANTSIKA
Early departure for the National Park Ankarafantsika. 
Ankarafantsika is a haunt of birds and lemurs. A feature that makes conservation a real leitmotiv for this national park. 8 species of lemurs have been observed in Ankarafantsika: a diurnal species, 2 mixed species, 5 species typically nocturnal, including the famous Microcebus, the smallest primate in the world. 129 species of birds nest in the forest Ankarafantsika. 75 of them are endemic. Finally, Ankarafansika also houses local endemic reptiles: chameleons, iguanas, snakes and freshwater turtles.

DAY 4: ANKARAFANTSIKA - AMBANJA
Back in the park early in the morning after the visit we continue on Ambanja on the north-west of Majunga. Overnight at the Hotel Le Meridien (midrange) or Baobab Hotel (top) 

DAY 5: AMBANJA - ANKARANA
The morning we leave right after breakfast for the Ankarana Reserve, and is famous for its wonderful view of Tsingy. Overnight at the Relais d'Ankarana (midrange) or in Aurelian (budget) 

DAY 6: ANKARANA - DIEGO
Morning visit the park to spot the wildlife reserve of Ankarana.Ankarana National Park is an extraordinary world we can not find anywhere else. Ankarana Park covers 18,225 ha. Ankarana is a western extension of Middle Jurassic limestone emerging from a basaltic plain located 50m above sea level plateau, which is a highly eroded karst formation on the surface, consists of a karren Tsingy. The inventory identified 60 species of reptiles and amphibians, 96 species of birds, 50 species of molluscs and snails, many of the Tsingy. 14 species of bats, half of the bats of Madagascar, living in the caves of Ankarana, 11 species of lemur in Ankarana remain. And then continue to Diego.

DAY 7: DIEGO - AMBER MOUNTAIN - DIEGO
Departure in 4x4 vehicles to the Reserve Amber Mountain located 45 miles from Diego Suarez. Mountain and Forest of Amber is a complex of protected areas that covers 23 010 ha, of which 18 200 ha for the National Park and 4,810 ha for the Special Reserve Forest of Amber. It is a volcanic massif covered with forest spread over 850 to 1 475 m altitude. Six lakes and several rivers crisscross the park. Mountain and Forest of Amber is a high place with 77 endemic species of birds, 7 species of lemurs and 24 species of amphibians. .

DAY 8: DIEGO - AMBANJA
A 246 km of Antsiranana, Ambanja is the hub of tourist destinations of the region as Nosybe DIANA and the city of Diego Suarez. It's a pretty small town which is a nice break strong and authentic in the North of the big island. The city is surrounded by coffee plantation, vanilla, ylang-ylang, cocoa. Overnight at the Hotel Meridien (midrange) or the Hotel Baobab (top) 

DAY 9: AMBANJA - NOSY BE

DAY 10: NOSY BE - NOSY TANIKELY
