Detailed Itinerary 


DAY 1: TANA
Upon your arrival at the airport Ivato, a representative of the ORTOUR welcomes you and arrange to transfer to your hotel of convenience: 
Overnight at the hotel Anjary (midrange) or Louvre (Top). 

DAY 2 TANA - ANTSIRABE
We take the southern route, National Road No. 7 connecting Tana-Antsirabe. At sixty miles Ambatolampy Tana are a significant agglomeration between Tana and Antsirabe where one can visit a boiler shop. Can we continue to Antsirabe we also call The City of Water. The visit of a volcanic lake called Andraikiba is recommended for its beautiful carved stone bazaar, as well as horseback riding or canoe touring the lake. A small lake called "Tritriva" is also to see, just for the panoramic view of the plain Vakinakaratra. 
Overnight at Le Retrait  (midrange) or Arotel (Top). 

DAY 3: ANTSIRABE - AMBOSITRA
2 hours driving on the N°7 south brings you to Ambositra, a city known for its wood crafts (carved wood). It is possible to do hiking in the village of Zafimaniry the first that worked the wood carvings.Night hotel Artisan (midrange) or Violette Hotel  ( midrange)

DAY 4: AMBOSITRA - RANOMAFANA
Two hours of Antsirabe, are Ambositra, a city famous for its wooden handicrafts (wood carvings). In 9 km before entering the town of Ranomafana ago and impressive views of the fall and mists of water from the river Namorona. 
Overnight at the hotel Cristo  (midrange )  or Setam (Top). 

Anja Parc LemursDAY 5: RANOMAFANA - SAHAMBAVY.
After breakfast, visit the park: 
In Ranomafana National Park where you can admire some twenty species of mammals including 12 lemur namely the famous bamboo lemur lemurs. 
Several animal species have been recorded: 
- 115 species of birds including thirty of them are strictly forest species. 
- 90 species of butterflies, 
- 98 species of amphibians, 
- Some species of fish 
- And 62 species of reptiles: Chameleons, lizards. 
Visit at Sahambavy, Sahambavy is particularly known for its tea plantations. The latter are spread over 300 hectares.

6-7-8 DAY: SAHAMBAVY-ANDRINGITRA
We leave Sahambavy the morning to continue to Fianarantsoa and Ambalavao. Visit the center of the paper and continue to Antemoro Andringitra National Park. Andringitra is 47 km south of Ambalavao along National Road No. 7 in the region of Upper Matsiatra. The park covers 31,160 ha. Perched on the heights, its altitude varies between 650 and 2658 m. 
Concentrated endemism and diversity, biodiversity Andringitra is preserved by the provision of park slope and rock masses. 
Andringitra is one of the park more attractive because it has the form of fabulous landscape of hills, rock with beautiful waterfalls and plants. Camping (two nights). 
Last night at the Cottage Andringitra. 

Lemur_in_IsaloDAY 9: ANDRINGITRA - ISALO.
Morning visit to the park and Ambalavao Anja, we continue to drive up Ranohira Isalo. 
Isalo is part of the Common Ranohira in the region Ihorombe. It is 279 km south of Fianarantsoa and 80 km from Ihosy. The park, crisscrossed by rivers and their tributaries, extends over 81,540 ha. This is a massive ruiniform sandstone plateau continental Jurassic. Heavily eroded, broken up only by the witnesses sandy valleys and canyons remained: a truly exceptional performance. 
Overnight at the Hotel Orchidée (midrange) or Jardin de Roy/ Satrana  Lodge(Top). 

DAY 10: ISALO
Isalo animals are typical of the climate, vegetation and geomorphology of the park. They are, overwhelmingly, endemic species. 77 species of birds live in the Isalo thrush or Pseudocosyphus Benson Benson, a species endemic to Madagascar, which is highly protected. There are also 14 species of lemurs and moths introduced with 8 and 7 endemic in Madagascar. Reptiles, amphibians, carnivores, insectivores and rodents complete the list.

domaine_d_ambolaDAY 11-12-13: ISALO – DOMAINE D’ AMBOLA
Early in the morning, leaving Isalo we take a road lined with baobab, tombs decorated Mahafaly tribe way that are unique to their gender. It runs along Lake Tsimanampetsotsa. It is a large shallow lake. The main attractions of the book are 70 species of birds, The National Park covers 43,200 ha Tsimanampesotse.Lake Tsimanampesotse is the first Ramsar site in Madagascar classified by the International Convention on Wetlands. It is also the only protected area located on the limestone plateau and the coastal area along the coastline of the South West. 
Tsimanampesotse includes, among others, 112 species of birds including 5 species of Coua the nine existing 42 species of herpetofauna, including 39 reptiles, 3 species of lemurs including 2 diurnal (Lemur catta and Propithecus verreauxii verreauxii and 2 night (Microcebus griseorufus and Lepilemur). 
1. The Pink Flamingo, a bird endemic to the rosy wings. Seen all year on Lake Tsimanampesotse. 
Overnight at Domaine d’Ambola (the most beautiful beach in the south) 

DAY 14: DOMAINE D’ AMBOLA - TOLIARA
Leaving the field of Ambola down further south, we come to Tulear, a city south – west . Note that varieties of thorny plants along the road especially at some fifty kilometers to Tulear. 
The landscape is distinguished by the sight of the Mahafaly tombs carved with their boards, that adorn the roadside.

DAY 15: TOLIARA - TANA
This tour ends on arrival in Toliara, then that same day you take the flight to Tana.
