DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: TANA
Arriving at Ivato international airport and meet Ortour representative for transfer to Anjary Hotel (midrange) ou Grand Mellis (top)
Day 2: TANA- ANTSIRABE
After breakfast, morning drive toward the national route R7, through the high plateau’s landscape: mountains and ricefield scenery.
Visit the surrounding: Lake Tritriva, Lake Andraikiba and the workshop of semi and precious stones.
Stay at Hotel Le Trianon (midrange) or Hotel de Thermes (top), Villa Camélia (top)
Day 3-4-5: ANTSIRABE – AMBOSITRA-TREKKING
After two hours drive from Antsirabe to Ambositra, the capital of woodcarving
Visit the workshop of Jean et Freres and a few other shops of craft.
Drive to Antoetra and continue by foot to Ifasina and the surrounding, two nights camping.
Back to Ambositra on the last day, overnight at hotel l’Artisan or Hotel Violette
Day 6: AMBOSITRA -RANOMAFANA
This day, we leave Ambositra and our destination is to get to Ranomafana National Park; arriving there, half hour stops at Namorona waterfall. The park is home of the famous Golden Bamboo lemur, the Greater Bamboo lemur. You can have a nice walk in the village or just relax at the hot-spring swimming pool.

Day 7: RANOMAFANA PARK VISIT
For the whole day, in the morning, just after breakfast, mild walk to the forest to see the Golden Bamboo lemur, Greater Bamboo lemur and many species of birds. In the afternoon, move to Sahambavy tea field and spend a night at Lac hotel.
Day 8-9-10: SAHAMBAVY– ANDRINGITRA -TREKKING
Leave Sahambavy to Andringitra, the National Park of Andringitra is located in the South East. It shelters the Boby Peak, the roof of Madagascar. The nature, traditions and mystery surrounding Andringitra have made this Park a mystical and a panoramic place to discover. The Park covers 31,160 ha. Perched on the heights, its altitude varies between 650 and 2658 m.
It counts seven species of crustaceans, 205 species of bugs, 78 species of amphibian, 50 species of reptiles, 54 species of mammals (lemurs, carnivorous, bats…) and 106 species of birds.
Andringitra is one of most attractive park because it has fabulous landscape form of rock hills with such lovely waterfalls and beautiful plants
Go trekking up until you reach the peak Bobby, the second highest peak in Madagascar.
Some 1,000 plant species are known within the National Park of Andringitra.

Day 11: ANDRINGITRA - ISALO
Drive from Andringitra to Ranohira (Isalo National Park).
The National Park of Isalo is covered of 81 540 hectare with eroded Jurassic sandstone massif.
Isalo‘s topography is characterised by alternating flat grassy plains and sandstone ridges, sculpted by wind and water into fanciful shapes.
Stay at Hotel Orchidée (midrange comfort) or at Jardin du Roy/ Satrana Lodge (top).
Day 12-13: TREKKING AT ISALO
Walk from the monkey canyon to Namaza. The animals of the Isalo are typical of the climate with vegetation and the geomorphology of the park. These are for a very strong majority of the endemic species. 77 species of birds live in Isalo among which the Benson rock-thrush Pseudocossyphus bensoni, an endemic species of Madagascar that is well protected. We can also find 14 species of nocturnal lemurs, 8 of which are introduced and seven endemic to Madagascar. Reptilian, amphibian, carnivores, insectivorous and gnawing completes the list.

Day 14: ISALO – TULEAR
Long drive toward the western capital of the Vezo fisher people. Along the way, just right after the Zombitse/Vohibasia national park which is home Appert’s Greenbul, you can see a few species of Baobabs, and Mahafaly tombs on the way after Sakaraha. Overnight at Victory or Paletuvier (top)
Day 15: TULEAR - TANA
Take a flight in the morning to get back to tana
