DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Tana

Arriving at Ivato international airport, clear customs and meet Ortour representative for transfer to Anjary Hotel (midrange) or hotel de Louvre (top) for overnight

Day 2: TANA - ANTSIRABE

Leave Antananarivo to Antsirabe
Drive through the high land’s landscape .It is an area of rolling hills interspersed with terracing and rice paddies, dotted with picturesque villages. Arrive in Antsirabe. Visit the surrounding: lake sacred Tritriva, Andraikiba and the workshop of semi - precious and precious stones.

Canoe trip on tthe TsiribihinaDay 3: ANTSIRABE - MIANDRIVAZO

Drive from Antsirabe to Miandrivazo (220 km)
Miandrivazo notable primarly as the starting point for canoe trip down to Tsiraraka.  This area is one of the hottest in Madagascar, so bring thin clothes and umbrellas.

Day 4: CANOEING

The beginning of the river – trip with a dugout canoe seems a bit tiring advanture but fun, also quieter and giving you a chance to observe natural attractions. Well the boat is comfortable and fast.
The first day of the river trip allows you to meet cameleons and birds.

Day 5: CANOEING

The best part of the canoe trip
passing the Gorge of Bemaraha, a thick forest, sifaka lemurs and lemur fulvus are drinking water on the side of the river. The bird life along the river is particulary noteworthy.

Day 7: TSIRARAKA - MORONDAVA

After finishing breakfast, ten minites walk following the cart to reach the place where the 4WD is waiting.
Then drive to Morondava through the spiny dry forest, two hours vist at The Special Reserve of Andranomena covers 6 420 ha and is located in the Region Menabe, 30 km north of the town of Morondava. The average temperature is around 25°C. The vegetation is composed of dense dry deciduous forest of the West with 3 remarkable species of baobab tree. It shelters a large number of endemic species of local, regional and national fauna.

11 species of reptiles and a species of amphibian have been counted in Andranomena. 48 species of birds, 10 species of mammals and 7 species of lemurs also live in the Reserve. Among these lemurs, 7 species of them are diurnal and five nocturnal. Overnight at Renala Sable d’Or (midrange / Top)

Day 8: MORONDAVA - TANA

Transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo.
