PRICE: Price is subject to changes depending on surcharges of fuel, flights, exchange rate, etc.

Flights

We are not held responsible for any changes in domestic flight schedules beyond our control. Thus, we would like to advise you to always double check given flight schedules before departing; making sure that it has not been subject to a sudden unexpected change.

Food

In some hotels, meals are included especially at the top option since half board is mandatorily subject to payment. However, we try to do our best to allow you have your own free choice but you’d better ask information from your guide for any sudden changes applied to it accordingly. Due to changes of diet, climate, places, having temporary stomach aching might occur during the trip despite clean and healthy food served. If sickness persists more than 24 hours, better consult a medical doctor.

In a few and seldom places, especially in a remote areas, Waiters or waitresses might speak English good or not at all causing misunderstanding, and culture shocks.

Health

Only sealed water bottle is recommended. Avoid buying food in the open air because it may contain germs or microbes. Any sick/ill person, if persistence occurs, is highly advised to consult immediately a medical doctor; it’d be better to trust the Malagasy doctors rather than depending on medications already on hand. It’s necessarily useful to bring: Sunburn lotion, mosquito repellent, anti microbe lotion for hand wash, etc.

Hotel

Hotel standards vary from midrange to top option. Both are clean, have inside private toilet, etc. quite exact same but top one does follow international norm requirements and much more comfortable.

Local guide

Generally local guides are extra services and prices vary from one place to another and the duration of the visit. Some local guides are well experienced and some are not. Only the park responsible is in charge of sharing their tasks depending on their availability in hope to better choose the best ones. We though will try to choose and take the most knowledgeable ones for the pursuit of an awesome trip.

Security

For security reasons, avoid going out at night, except night walk. Better consult the security responsible of the area.

Unlike the other world, Madagascar is much safe. However, avoid sharing candies, money to beggars for they might be attackers, pick pockets.

During the traffic jam, while seated in the bus/car, pay much attention, remember to close the window.

At some hotels, always check your doors, windows if well locked or not, etc.

When going out, always leave your valuables at the hotel reception desk telling them your name, room number when required.

In some places, avoid travelling at night for it is too risky despite exceptions due to car accident or being broken down, unexpected road blockage caused by tree trunks, land fall, etc.

Tips

Tips imply satisfactory services. Remember that tips are customary, not obliged. However, in Madagascar, the vast majority of Malagasy expect being tipped and the normal tip rate is 10% of the service. Local coins are not recommended.

Tips should also be given  someone , depending on level of satisfaction.

Wildlife

With regard to any involved wildlife expectations, it is much agreed that sighting of any of these are not fully guaranteed since wildlife sighting is a natural matter solely depending on itself based on weather conditions. Efforts will be made though trying to ensure the possibility of finding some. Thus, we do not want to be held responsible if none is found for it is less guaranteed than we ever thought.

In some places, night walk is currently banned for security reasons. Only follow the night visit designed in your program for in some places, night walk undertaken beyond the park is only a trick and waste of time for nothing will be found on the road.
