In 2004 Ortour arranged an unforgetable trip in Madagascar. It was splendidly organized, and we had excellent guides who were very helpful, friendly and had an excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna, and also the culture of Madagascar. We went on the river trip down the Tsiribihina to see the amazing Tsingy of Bemaraha, and then drove up from Tulear to Isalo National Park, Andringitra National Park, where we climbed Pic Boby, Ambositra and Ranomafana National Park, and on to Tana. From there we went to Mantadia to hear the awesome calls of the Indri-indri, and ended our stay with a wonderfully relaxing week on Ile Sainte Marie. Ortour made this holiday truly unforgetable!

Ortour organized a 4 day hike from Maroantsetra to Mananara in December 2006. This is a very adventurous hike along the rugged East Coast of Madagascar. Not many people have done this and Ortour is the only tour agency capable of organizing this.

It was exceptionally well organized: We had a guide who knew a lot about nature, wildlife and culture and was always looking after us and our safety. We had a cook to prepare us meals 3 times a day and we had several porters carrying all our luggage. Those guys have a tremendous amount of energy!

The experiences of this trip have been published in the Bradt Guide edition 2007 and Ortour and this website is mentioned with it.

I helped Ortour to set up this website and i hope more clients will use their services in the future. Again, i can highly recommend them to anyone.

The photo posted here was taken in Manambolosy, the last village of our hike, just before we said goodbye to the crew.
