DAY 1: TANA

Once landing at Antananarivo international airport, a member of our team representing Ortour will welcome you. Then, you will be transferred from the airport to your hotel for check-in and overnight in hotel du Louvre (Top) or Chalet des Roses (high-midrange), Hotel Tripolitsa (high-midrange) in BB.

DAY 2: TANA – ANTSIRABE

You will begin your trip by heading south towards Antsirabe along the national road 7. The road itself, with Malagasy standards, is in good conditions, the landscape is fantastic. When arriving in Antsirabe, visit the surrounding area including the sacred lake of Tritriva, and then back to town visiting some workshops of semi-precious and precious stones. Overnight at Top Hotel: Plumeria, in BB or in high-midrange Hotel: Vatolahy or Chambre des Voyageurs or in Couleur Café, in BB.

DAY 3: ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO

This morning, long drive going to Miandrivazo approximately situated 220 km west. Miandrivazo is primarily notable considered as the starting point for canoe trip taking you down to Belo Sur Tsiribihina. This area is one of the hottest in Madagascar. Overnight at Hotel Princesses de Tsiribihina (high-midrange) or Hotel La Pirogue (midrange)

DAY 4: MIANDRIVAZO-MASEKAPY- WATERFALL

Drive from Miandrivazo to take the boat from Masiakampy to the waterfall. The first day of the river trip allows you to see some chameleons and birds and giving you a chance to observe natural attractions, on a fast and comfortable barge…It is best part of the canoe trip, passing the Gorge of Bemaraha, a thick forest, various species of lemurs such as  sifaka and brown, drinking water on the side of the river. DAY 5: WATERFALL- BELO SUR TSIRIBIHINA

After breakfast get into the barge and sailing down the Tsiribihina passing several villages, visit Berevo one of these villages to see the daily life and the traditions of villagers. 10 minutes after Berevo you will see the bats ‘refuge on the side of the river. Arrive at the small port of Belo Sur Tsiribihina and take the 4WD to Belo of Tsiribihina, Overnight at the hotel Karibo in BB.

DAY 6: BELO SUR TSIRIBIHINA -TSINGY

Leave Belo Sur Tsiribihina drive to the Tsingy of Bemaraha near Bekopaka.Bekopaka is the small village near the Tsingy of Bemaraha, The Tsingy is 152 000 hectares (66 630 hectares of which have national park status) is one of the largest protected areas in Madagascar. The Tsingy is a vast forest of rugged and eroded karst pinnacles. There are about 90 species of birds, 8 species of reptiles and 11 species of lemurs. Upon arrival visit the little Tsingy.Overnight at the Grand Hotel, Orchidee de Bemaraha in BB (high-midrange Hotel option).

DAY 7: TSINGY VISIT

You will be experiencing astonishing moments during your hike through caves, breathtaking peaks of Tsingy of Bemaraha. You will enter into labyrinths and the so-called cathedrals made of rocks before safely climbing to reach the top of the Tsingy for magnificent viewpoint of the whole limestone pinnacles, and then crossing the famous suspended bridge.

Bemaraha possesses a high rate of animal endemism and biodiversity being estimated at 86, 7% where 11 species of lemurs are recorded here, along with five families of Bats, 103 species of bird -species. Besides, expect to see long eared owls perched on a branch, giant couas and so forth. In the forests there are troops of Decken’s sifaka and red fronted brown lemurs criss-crossing the limestone pinnacles.

DAY 8: TSINGY – MORONDAVA

Early morning drive heading to Morondava. En route, stop for lunch in Belo sur Tsiribihina. And then, we shall cross the Tsiribihina River by a ferry boat. Continue driving through the Kirindy dry forest. During the course of the afternoon we enter the world famous alley of Baobabs at sunset, the best time the nature can provide. We will stop there until the sun disappears before continuing to Morondava.

Overnight at: Top Hotel option: Baobab Café or Palissandre de l’Ouest in HB or high-midrange Hotel option: Chez Maggie or Renala Sable d’Or in BB.

DAY 9: MORONDAVA – TANA

You will be transfered by air to Antananarivo before flying back home.
